I am a Cs..What are you?
Last week, we took a personality test which diagnosed the kind of leaders/managers we are or we will be in the future. In total there were 28 questions about our own nature, from which we had to pick what most and least we are likely to be. Theresult was categorized into 4 personality styles:Dominant Influential Steady Conscientious. My result was a Cs, which describes me as a systematic, detail oriented, rule follower and basically a person who thinks before acting. The result was pretty accurate, I am kinda detail oriented person, I like to keep a balance in everything, whenever there's an argument I always try to see things from everyone's point of view and then only make decision. If only I were a little more organised I would be a 100% C. I wish I had a little bit more qualities of D. Even though this test might not be totally correct in some case, I'd say that it does reflect the over qualities of the people, which does help us know them better and interact with them accordingly. For example, if you know a person who falls under a D category, who is apparently, outspoken, direct, impatient, and so forth, then you would probably try to deal with them in the same way. In a nutshell, I just feel like it makes the communication easier.

I think you're right when you say that the system does draw an overall picture of your personality and the qualities you possess. However, like a lot of our peers have been saying, it doesn't fully describe all the characteristics we possess. I'm pretty sure we all have traits from every personality category. So, I'm pretty sure you definetly have some qualities from D. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat I have found interesting about these traits as I have gotten older they become truer. I am also a Cs and I find that everything in my apartment from my closet to my toothbrush has a special place. That everything I own has a spot that it belongs, and I go crazy if its not there. Four years ago that was not the case. I was more dominating more controlling my situations now I see things and do things differently.
ReplyDeleteI also ended up being a C person and I also wished I had more qualities of a D. From my interactions with you, I could tell we're quite similar. Like me, you're detailed-oriented and you like to think things over before you make a decision. You also weigh the pros and the cons to help you make decisions. And you're definitely not a confrontational person; you are diplomatic when you do not agree with an idea.
ReplyDeleteI didn’t take the test in the class, and I chose the personality “letter” for myself from the list. I chose “I” mostly because I have really entrepreneurial spirit and always full of ideas, but sometimes I need an extra help to realize them =)
